Reamers H7
H7 reamers by Nachreiner for high precision
The manufacturing tolerances for drilled holes vary depending on the specific application. For holes that should not exceed a dimensional tolerance of H7 after processing, we offer our high-quality H7 reamers. These tools are typically produced in HSS or HSSE versions. If you require a solid carbide (VHM) version, please check the relevant section for the suitable tool. If you do not find what you need, we can also manufacture H7 reamers in VHM or for other dimensional tolerances on a custom basis. Please consult with our experts, who can provide you with a quote based on your specifications. For standard applications where HSS or HSSE reamers are sufficient, you will find the following solutions in this section:
HSS or HSS/E reamers for H7 tolerance
- HSS/E machine reamers according to DIN 212
- HSS/E machine reamers in factory standard, long version
- HSS hand reamers according to DIN 206
- HSS/E NC machine reamers according to DIN 212
- Special coatings available upon request
- Custom designs available upon request
When are H7 VHM reamers more relevant?
Machine reamers, hand reamers, and rivet hole reamers for H7 tolerance are also available in VHM versions at Nachreiner. The solid carbide variant is recommended when processing high-strength materials such as stainless steel and other hard metals, as well as other materials (e.g., certain plastics with high strength values). VHM reamers in H7 are more heat-resistant and provide slightly better tool life. However, in most cases, and in high-volume machining of metals and other materials that do not require VHM quality, HSS or HSSE reamers are typically perfectly sufficient. A good alternative is to apply a special coating to the machine reamers according to your requirements, which significantly enhances the properties of the HSS or HSSE versions. This saves costs compared to the VHM version and is often completely sufficient. If you need further advice, our experts are happy to assist with a personalized consultation. Simply contact us, and we will offer a practical solution.
H7 reamers perfect your drill holes
Spiral drills often do not leave a perfect surface inside the hole. While this is not relevant for many applications in metalworking, it can be crucial for other specifications to achieve very high surface quality and dimensional accuracy. There are areas where tolerances exceeding the required size are unacceptable. For example, even small deviations in oil channels or cooling holes in engine manufacturing or the aerospace industry can render a workpiece unusable. With our reamers, you can perfectly finish the surfaces inside a hole. Whether you need hand reamers, drill reamers, machine reamers, or other solutions: At Nachreiner, you will always find the perfect solution for your challenge. If something "off-the-shelf" doesn't fit, we can still help – our custom-made tools to factory standards are often the last resort for many customers.
