Solid Carbide
VHM saw carbide blades according to DIN 1837 A and DIN 1838 B
VHM saw blades are made from solid carbide. The term "carbide saw" refers to the tool itself, not the material being processed. During manufacturing, the saw teeth are brazed onto the blade. In metalworking, the VHM saw blade has posed significant competition to the more affordable, but more wear-prone, HSS saw blade over the past fifty years. Previously, the high-speed steel circular saw blade had almost no alternative for many tasks. However, the VHM saw blade is much harder and exhibits significantly less wear during use. Like HSS saws, every VHM saw blade is a so-called cold saw, meaning the circular saw blade does not heat up significantly during operation. Unlike the HSS version, however, a VHM saw blade does not require additional cooling to maintain cool cutting surfaces.
VHM blades for metal and other materials
Although products from Nachreiner's assortment are typically purchased by companies in the metalworking industry, you can also use a VHM saw blade for various plastics and types of wood. The high load-bearing capacity and excellent durability enable long, fatigue-free work with the circular saw. Our VHM saw blades are manufactured according to DIN 1837 A and DIN 1838 B and are available in both coarse and fine tooth configurations. Please check which variant you need for your application before placing an order. If you have specific requirements or requests for the circular saw blade, we can also provide alternatives or custom-made options. Please contact us directly for in-depth and personalized advice. Nachreiner is one of the most well-known problem-solvers when it comes to tools for metalworking with special requirements.
Grinding VHM saw blades saves money
Every saw undergoes some wear and tear, with saw blades particularly suffering depending on the material being processed. If your VHM saw blades need sharpening, we would be happy to do this for you. We advise against sharpening them yourself unless you have the necessary skills and tools for the job. Regrinding can often significantly extend the lifespan of circular saw blades and other metal tools, saving money by delaying the need for replacements. We also recommend keeping a stock of reserve saw blades in case one of your VHM blades reaches the end of its life, ensuring your operations aren't interrupted.
Make sure the diameter is correct
For circular saw blades, it is essential that the diameter matches the saw being used and the material thickness. There can be significant differences depending on the manufacturer. This also applies to the arbor hole, which must, of course, match the corresponding saw blade arbor. These arbors are also available from us if needed. When ordering, always ensure that the manufacturer's specified standards and requirements are followed, as these are crucial for safe operation. If you would like personalized advice or have questions about our products, feel free to contact Nachreiner's expert advisors both online and offline.
