VHM universal drills 3xD according to company standards
Our 3xD full carbide universal drills are versatile tools with a wide range of
applications. These drills are exemplary in their versatility. They are
suitable for the precise machining of high-strength metals such as stainless
steel and, thanks to their design as 3xD universal drills, they offer exact
drilling depths. This is crucial for ensuring consistent quality in mass
production of metal workpieces, as well as for the precise machining of
individual objects in the metalworking industry and craftsmanship.
Full carbide makes the 3xD universal drills particularly powerful
Unlike HSS or HSSE drills, our 3xD universal drills feature a full carbide
body. In other drills, often only a carbide tip is soldered or screwed onto the
carrier material. In contrast, VHM (full carbide) 3xD universal drills are made
entirely from a single piece of carbide, which is then processed to the desired
shape. This means that the excellent properties of full carbide are present not
just in the first few millimeters of the tip, but throughout the entire length
of the drill, including the guiding facets and all cutting surfaces. Full
carbide universal drills can also withstand very high speeds and are
heat-resistant, which allows them to achieve significantly shorter processing
times compared to comparable HSS or HSSE drills. In areas where full carbide
alone is no longer sufficient for heat dissipation, we can also offer 3xD universal drills with internal cooling. Manufacturing such drills requires
maintaining tight tolerances to ensure that the cooling channels do not
compromise the drill's stability and structural integrity during use.
Additionally, we can provide a VHM-Inox version of the universal drill that is
particularly resistant to corrosion.
Universal drills with different drilling depths from
Nachreiner
The drilling depth of our universal drills is defined by the diameter of the
drill. For example, a 3xD universal drill (with the same diameter) is suitable
for a drilling depth five times smaller than a 15xD drill. Depending on your
application, please choose the appropriate variant from our range:
Why universal drills according to company standards?
Common industrial standards such as DIN cover a wide range of applications in
industrial and craft metalworking. However, for company-specific requirements
that are not sufficiently addressed by DIN or other standards, tools according
to Company Norm (Werk Norm) are available. These tools enable the realization
of projects and products that could not be implemented with the same efficiency
and precision if only standard DIN guidelines were followed. Company norms
effectively fill innovation gaps. Nachreiner Tools is proud to offer you
various precision drills and other cutting tools for metalworking according to
company standards. If you require specific specifications, we can also provide
individual offers for custom-made tools. Simply contact our experts and provide
us with your specifications, and we will provide you with a detailed offer. We
are your solution partner, even for challenging tasks in metalworking.
