Advanced Cutting Geometry of Our 60° HSS Countersinks
When it comes to the cutting geometry of 60° HSS countersinks, different manufacturers follow different design approaches. What they generally have in common is the use of an odd number of flutes (e.g., 3, 5, or 7).
Based on our many years of experience, we rely on the proven design with three flutes. These ensure exceptionally smooth running and allow chatter-free operation both on machines and with hand drills (e.g., for manual or workshop applications).
Other HSS and HSSE Countersinks Available for Additional Applications
The 60° HSS countersinks are just one of many conical tools within the countersink range in the Nachreiner product portfolio. Other common countersink angles include:

In addition, other countersink angles are available, though they are less commonly required in everyday metalworking. These include 75° for rivets and 82° for screws according to US standards.
