Metal slitting saws HSS / Solid carbide
Circular saw cutting blades in HSS & VHM with compatible shaft
You’ve come to the right place if you are looking for high-quality metal circular saw blades in VHM (Carbide) or HSS (High-Speed Steel) qualities. Both versions are available in fine-toothed and coarse-toothed configurations. For demanding applications in metalworking, we offer a wide range of VHM and HSS saw blades in various variations:
- DIN 1837
- DIN 1838
- For metalworking in forms A, B, and C
High quality VHM saw blades in wide and deep tooth configuration
The carbide version of our circular saw blades is successfully used in both metalworking and cutting certain woods and plastics. The carbide saw blade features brazed teeth that are significantly harder and more wear-resistant compared to the HSS saw blade. For specific requirements, the VHM saw blade is available in both fine and coarse tooth versions in forms A, B, and C according to DIN 1837 and DIN 1838. Please verify the appropriate version based on your machine specifications and the requirements of the material to be processed. Our VHM saw blade can also be used without cooling, making it a so-called cold saw. The cutting surfaces remain relatively cool even during extended cutting, eliminating the need for additional cooling.
HSS saw blade for a variety of applications
For a variety of applications, the more affordable HSS saw blades are more than sufficient and are popular with many of our customers. They offer very high service life and are designed to withstand considerable load. Like the VHM blades, HSS saw blades can be ordered in both fine and coarse tooth versions. All HSS saw blades meet the requirements of DIN 1837 and DIN 1838 and are available in various forms. Please note that an HSS saw blade is also considered a cold saw but requires active cooling during the cutting process. Therefore, please ensure compatibility with your machines.
No saw blade without the right saw shaft
Whether VHM saw blade or HSS saw blade, precise mounting of the circular saw blades in the chuck or cutter arbor is essential for safe and low-wear operation. The saw blade arbor should always match the saw blade exactly, as otherwise, inaccuracies and tolerances may arise that negatively impact the precision of your manufacturing. We recommend always using saw blade arbors that are perfectly matched to the saw blades and avoiding the use of reducer rings. Please also refer to the manufacturer's specifications for your machines, as different manufacturers may have varying requirements and connections for arbors. If you have any questions, we are happy to advise you. We can also assist with custom solutions if the right tool is not available in our range. Special requirements sometimes require something beyond standard tools, and at Nachreiner, we can almost always offer you a cost-effective and practical alternative.
